درجة ملاءمة النظامين PMB وSLiMS مفتوحي المصدر للمكتبات المدرسية
في ضوء متطلبات وزارة التربية والتعليم في الأردن.

ملخص
تتناول الدراسة مفهوم النظم لحرة
مفتوحة المصدر لإدارة وحوسبة المكتبات، مزاياها، أهميتها، ومعايير تقييمها
واختيارها، وهدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد درجة ملاءمة النظامين PMB وSLiMS
للمكتبات المدرسية في ضوء المتطلبات الوظيفية المرغوبة والإجبارية لقسم
المكتبات في وزارة التربية والتعليم في الأردن، والتي تتألف من ستين
متطلباً موزعة على خمس مجموعات، وهي المتطلبات الوظيفية العامة، كاللغات
التي يدعمها النظام، ومتطلبات حقوق الملكية الفكرية والأمن والسلامة، كخضوع
النظام لاتفاقية (ترخيص) الاستخدام العام، ومتطلبات العمليات والإجراءات
الفنية، كتوافر وحدات متكاملة للفهرسة والتزويد والإعارة، ومتطلبات التقنين
(التوحيد) والمعايير الموحدة، كالتوافق مع صيغة مارك للتسجيلات
البيبليوغرافيه، والمتطلبات الإضافية والمتقدمة، كتوافر محدد ترددات
الموجات اللاسلكية.
وانتهجت الدراسة أسلوب تحليل
المحتوى اعتماداً على أداة تحليل محتوى محكمة، واستنتجت أن نظام 4.0.12
PMB version أكثر ملاءمة من نظام SLiMS7_cendana لاحتياجات المكتبات
المدرسية في الأردن، حيث حصل نظام PMB على 2074درجة في حين حصل نظام SLiMS
على 1676 درجة.
وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة اعتماد PMB
كنظام لحوسبة المكتبات المدرسية في الأردن، كما أوصت بتأسيس مختبر افتراضي
لاستخدام نظم المكتبات المتكاملة الحرة مفتوحة المصدر بهدف إتاحة المشاركة
في عمليات التقييم والتصميم والتطوير والاختبار، وأن تولي أقسام المكتبات
في الجامعات الأردنية أهمية خاصة لهذه النظم في برامجها.
ABSTRACT
Degree of Suitability of PMB & SLIMS Open Source Systems For School Libraries in Light of The Requirements of The Ministry of Education in Jordan.

ABSTRACT
This study is based on the
concept of free open-source integrated library management systems, their
advantages, importance, and criteria for evaluation and selection. The
aim of the study is to determine the suitability of two systems, PMB and
SLiMS, for school libraries in light of the functional requirements of
the Ministry of Education in Jordan, which is composed of sixty
requirements divided into five groups; common functional requirements,
such as languages that are supported by the system; the requirements of
copy rights, security and safety, such as license; operational
requirements and services, such as the availability of integrated
modules for acquisitions, cataloging, circulation; the requirements of
formats and standards such as supporting MARC bibliographic records; the
additional and advanced requirements, such as the availability of RFID
(Radio-frequency identification).
The methodology used in the
study is the “Evaluation method” based on a peer viewed content analysis
tool. The study concluded that PMB (version.4.0.12) is more suitable
for school libraries in Jordan than SLiMS7_cendana with 2074 degrees
suitability, while SLiMS gets only 1676 degrees.
The study recommends the
adoption of PMB as a system to computerize school libraries in Jordan,
to establish a virtual laboratory for the use of free open source
integrated library systems. Moreover it allows participation in the
process of evaluation, design, development and testing. The study also
recommends that the various libraries departments at the Jordanian
Universites should pay a special attention to the a doption of these
systems in their curriculum programs.
